Kathryn Martin

BSc, MCSP, HCPC Registered

Kathryn graduated from Cardiff University with a degree in physiotherapy and started working in NHS hospitals throughout Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. She has worked in a variety of areas including T&O, medical rehab, stroke, paediatrics, respiratory, ITU and community rehabilitation.

Kathryn is able to assess and treat patients from a holistic perspective and understands the importance of considering biological, psychological and social influences on injury rehabilitation and pain management.

After working in the NHS Kathryn chose to specialise in musculoskeletal and female pelvic health physiotherapy and worked in the private sector before opening her own physiotherapy clinics in Bridgend and Aberdare.

She prioritises education and is constantly gaining new skills to be able to bring the most up to date treatments to the clinic. She is also trained in clinical pilates by the world’s most recognised organisation, APPI.

My aim is to provide the best possible care to every single patient. I won’t just treat your foot, shoulder or knee. I’ll treat you as a unique individual, considering your goals, preferences and past experiences. I aim to create a casual and safe space for you to discuss any concerns or questions you have. I hope my values as a physiotherapist and passion to make people’s lives better is visible, giving you hope, and confidence to start your rehabilitation journey.
