Soft Tissue Therapy

Kathryn has also completed further qualifications to optimise her manual therapy skills completing a specialist diploma in deep tissue massage. Kathryn has used these techniques to treat a wide variety of patients with both sporting and non sporting backgrounds including:

When you book an initial assessment with Kathryn the appointment will start with a thorough discussion about your injury/pain history. Your main concerns and goals will also be discussed.
The discussion will then be followed by a hands on assessment. Kathryn will diagnose your issue, talk you through a treatment plan and provide a prognosis.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage can be a great treatment technique to facilitate rehabilitation. However, it’s rare that massage alone will provide the long term benefits we aim for at CLWB Physio. For this reason, all patients must book an initial assessment prior to massage treatment where Kathryn will complete a thorough assessment of your complaint and advise the best course of treatment going forwards.

Dry Cupping Therapy

Dry cupping therapy is a western method of soft tissue therapy that uses suction cups in a variety of sizes to help treat aches and pains associated with musculoskeletal injury and tension.

Graston Technique

Graston therapy is a type of instrument assisted soft tissue mobilisation therapy that uses stainless steel instruments to treat a variety of musculoskeletal injuries and muscle tension.

Scar Therapy

Scars can have a big influence on how your soft tissue functions, specifically how it can restrict your fascia. Kathryn uses a combination of massage and dry cupping to aid mobilisation of scar tissue following injury or surgery to minimise fascial restrictions.
